Pathways To Prosperity has won the “Nonprofit of the Year” from the Greater Boynton Beach Chamber of Commerce for outstanding accomplishments in 2015.

The award was the culmination of P2P’s program expansion and success stories in helping hundreds of local residents create a better future for themselves through the agency’s education and social services, said Kemberly Bush, executive director of P2P.

“We’ve been working with many children, adults and families for many years, and it’s an honor to be recognized for our holistic approach to assisting these individuals in reaching their full potential and ensuring our community’s children grow up healthy, safe and strong,” she said.

The P2P staff received the award during the Chamber’s Business Awards Gala, A Winter Wonderland on Jan. 21, 2016. Other nonprofits nominated for the award were: Audiology With A Heart, Habitat For Humanity, and YMCA of South Palm Beach.

The award received special mention at the Boynton Beach City Commission meeting on Feb. 2, 2016. Commissioner Mack McCray announced the award, saying P2P does much for the community. He noted our organization was spearheaded by St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Boynton Beach.

P2P works with numerous partners in providing programming for young children through our early childhood education, and for adults through our Circles self-empowerment initiative as wells through our housing, health and other assistance. Our organization works with funders and community organizations such as Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, Allegany Franciscan Ministries, Quantum Foundation, Boynton Beach Police Department, and Genesis Community Health.

“Our staff and partners have done tremendous work in impacting the lives of children, parents, and entire families in our community,” Bush said. “This award has inspired us to work even harder in making a difference for many more families. We are truly grateful for this honor.”
